Groupon / Save The Money

In partnership with The Tibet Fund, Greenpeace and Save the Rainforest— the Save The Money campaign mocked the celebrity non-profit model, with the help of infamous mockumentary director Christopher Guest. The films drew attention to the brand and the aforementioned causes using a familiar construct – all the while matching consumers' donations. The most talked about ad of the Super Bowl was met with mixed emotions (acclaimed by AdAge, criticized on Twitter) – and inspired seven Conan sketches.
